I dislike Lorna, it sounds hillbillyish to me. Sorry.Sonja is my aunt's name, well...it was, she died a week ago. I was just thinking that it's a beautiful name and I may use it on a future daughter. I originally would have used Sonia, because it looked more balanced, but lately Sonja has been the only one for me. I actually don't think it would be mispronounced in the States.Edited to add: Do you pronounce it SON-ya or SAWN-ya?
