I'm going to go against the grain and say Svea is the better name. Annika is pretty, but it reminds me of "Star Wars."

It's so cute! I have a friend named Annika, she's in her early twenties. Where I live, the name is considered young and fresh.

Svea.
I know a lot of people named Annika but they are all around 35-45 years old. Most Svea's here in Sweden are pretty old (75+) but I have a friend named Svea (she's 19) and it's a name that is starting to come back on children. So Svea is my choice.

Where I live, Svea all the way: Annika (usually Anneke here) is old and tired to South African ears. Which are no doubt quite a distance from your ears, so this won't be very helpful!
