[Opinions] Winifred
Is Winifred really terrible? It seems like you either love it or hate it ....

I hate it. I can't like any female name that has Fred in it. Some will say they like the nickname Winnie. I don't, all I can think of is Winnie the Pooh.
I adore Winifred! It's whimsical and stately at the same time.
I'm one of those who love it. :)
I love it but in terms of naming a child it's pretty low on my list
I have it on my PNL, but only for the NN Winnie. I think the full name is rather musty, and not very pretty.
I wanted to like it for a long time, and kind of did, but there was something uninviting about it. But then I saw someone spell it Winnifred and realized it lookd so much better to me that way. So much more pleasant and sweet. So as long as it's spelled with two ns, I like it!

I go back and forth on this. I want to like it, especially because of the princess from 'Once Upon a Mattress.'
I don't think it's "really terrible," though. :)

I love it. Not terrible at all.
I've got associations with a pleasant dog, a pleasant cleaning lady (who by coincidence worked for the family that owned the dog, but she didn't mind at all!) and a demented science teacher who was also a British Israelite. Unfortunately the teacher dominates the other two ...
