[Opinions] Gervase
(jer-VAIS, to rhyme with 'plays') WDYT? I just came across it a couple of times in some research, and decided I quite liked it. Gervase Arthur is sounding good to me - any more ideas for combos?

I like it. It's like a calmer, more chillaxed version of Jarvis, which I find slightly pinched-looking. It also makes me want to get real fancy in a fun, Steampunk kind of way. Gervase Arthur is superb. Other ideaaas! (a lot of these sound super when swapped too so feel free to do that if you like)Gervase Richard
Gervase Algernon (which means "mustache spear" if I may point that out)
Gervase Leopold
Gervase Bartholomew
Gervase Reginald
Gervase Cadogan
Gervase Eleazar
Gervase Filibert hee!
Gervase Sigismund
Gervase Gregoire
Gervase Kentigern
Gervase Montgomery
Gervase Patroclus
Gervase Parsifal / Gervase Percival
Gervase Archibald
Gervase Faramond / Gervase Pharamond
Gervase Roderic

I prefer Gervais honestly, but Gervase Vazquez sounds very cool!

*blush*thanks! it was literally the first thing that came to mind and when I googled the name, it had a potential meaning of shepard, which is also cool, soooo, I went for it.

I love Gervase. It has a historic feeling and that zippy, "VAYZ" ending. I'm always surprised it isn't more popular, along with the feminine Gervaise (same pronunciation in English, "zhehr-VEZ" in French). Gervase Arthur is very nice. How about:Gervase Henry
Gervase Peter / Pierre
Gervase Maximilian
Gervase Alec / Alexander
Gervase Cormac
Gervase Redmond
Gervase Emmanuel
Gervase Honore '
Gervase Auberon / Oberon
Gervase Nathaniel
Gervase Humphrey
Gervase Kendall
Gervase Lionel
Gervase Oliver (this is my favorite)
Gervase Benedict
Gervase Emeric / Emmerich
Gervase Roland
Gervase Melchior
Gervase Adam
Gervase Roderick
Gervase Michael

Thanks, these are all fantastic! Gervase Henry was my second thought after Arthur, and Benedict would be good too as it's a family name. Gervase Lionel makes me like Lionel, and I never have before! Gervase Roderick is fantastically sturdy.

I agree that Roderick is an awesome compliment to Gervase...

I think Arthur Gervase would flow better than Gervase Arthur... Others could be Gervase Leo, Farid Gervase, Gervase Olivier, Marten Gervase

Gervase Olivier is fantastic! Thanks. :)

Meh, it's pretty much the last name of one of my childhood arch nemeses. :) But if I try to not think about that, it is a very knightly sounding name. So Gervase Arthur makes a logical and wonderful combo.

The fact that is it the surname of an arch-nemesis gives it even more of a brooding power I think. "Lord Gervase, the arch nemesis of Llewella" sounds like the basis to an awesome dragons-and-sorcerers fantasy novel.
I think I may just write said novel. I shall dedicate it to you and Pie.
