Oskar is also the Swedish spelling. I kinda like Oscar, with this spelling, because it has a more english feel to it. Oskar however is very, very boring to me. Strange how a little spelling change can make such a huge difference.

That's exactly how I feel about Oscar and Oskar. While Oskar has a boring feel to me, I really like Oscar. I often feel that way with names that are virtually the same name but vary a little in different languages / cultures. I usually only like one of the variants.
