What do you think of Martín pronounced "Mawr-TEEN" not "MAHR-tən"?
I don't care for the English pronunciation but I do like the Spanish pronunciation.
Martín is a common name in my husband's native Argentina. It was the surname of a famous South American Patriot Jose de San Martin. There is also a famous poem, the name of which is: Martín Fierro. (Would be a great name if not for the poem, eh?)
What would you pair Martín / Martin with? (Let's face it, I had to use copy/paste to get that little mark over the i so I am never going to spell it with that. I can't even remember what it is called.)
