Through his political friends, Victor had gotten to know a Krianian explorer called Mark Percy. This was the explorer who discovered the new archipeligo. Victor contacted Mark as soon as he came home and managed it so, that he could be the duke of the islands. This would give him money and power. Mark agreed, and so did the king. Victor forced his wife to move with him, even though she wasn't very happy to leave her comfortable life. On the way there, she gave birth to twins, Max and Mary.
