Three years after Adora was born, Rory and Carlota felt the time was right to add to their family. Their jobs were going very well, and when they broached the subject with Patrick, Claudia, Kieran and Adora, all four children agreed with the idea of having another little sibling.
However, something went wrong during the pregnancy. Carlota developed eclampsia and had to be rushed to the hospital. The doctors were able to save both Carlota and the baby, but little Conall ended up being born four weeks premature. However, Rory and Carlota knew that Conall was a fighter so they decided to name him after the legendary Irish figure from mythology. Baby Conall lived up to his namesake. He is doing very well.
