It's a girl – and a huge surprise! Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban revealed Monday that they are the parents of a baby girl. Faith Margaret Kidman Urban arrived Dec. 28 at The Women's Hospital at Centennial in Nashville. Faith was born through a gestational carrier and is the biological daughter of Kidman and Urban.I'm loving Faith Margaret! It's so much better than Sunday Rose!

I was totally shocked when I read this on another site! I'm so happy for them though, as I think they make a wonderful couple. I'm liking Sunday and Faith as a sib set and the combo Faith Margaret is quite nice.

I saw Nicole, Keith and Monday and I thought that they were continuing the theme for a second!I love Faith Margaret, it is so much nicer than Sunday Rose. It also seems to fit in nicer with Isabella and Connor, except it isn't an exact match (neither is Suri).

Yay!OMG! Yay! That is so pretty! I love it!

That's a surprise. Margaret is nice, but I don't like Faith.

Wait, what!!??That was unexpected! I don't like Faith at all. Sunday Rose is very pretty, Faith feels very mis-matched to me. Margaret is pretty, that would have gone lovely with Sunday imo.

I like it - classic and simple, even though Faith is one of my most hated names (dislike the sound and the religious associations - Sunday and Faith? -, even if the word can be interpreted in different ways). I actually prefer Sunday Rose :)

"born through a gestational carrier" ... never heard that terminology before. I wonder what her compensation was! =PFaith is okay. I find it feels weird to address someone as Faith, and the sounds in it are so soft and lispy. But it's not awful, and I agree it beats Sunday. I guess it means that much to them. I wonder if she'll go by Faith Urban, Faith Kidman, or Faith Kidman Urban as a grownup. YMMV, but I'm glad my parents didn't try to give ME two surnames.

what's wrong with having two surnames? :\

Nothing! I would not want to have two myself, though. I personally would find it inconvenient, unnecessary, and (sometimes, like on me, in my context) could come off as kind of pretentious.

LOL! Never move to a Portuguese or Spanish speaking country then! ;D

Oh, I know there are places where it's normal to have long names, and that is fine. I'm just accustomed to dealing with only one surname per person, and I don't really see any justifying advantages, for myself, to having more than one.

'gestational carrier' is the correct term when the real parents are also biological parents. It makes it clear that the surrogate has no biological tie to the child (since there are many forms of surrogacy). I think it's a good idea to announce it this way when you're famous and you know everyone will be asking and wondering if the baby is biologically yours. I remember how everyone commented and wondered when Sarah Jessica Parker had twins and they just said surrogate.

Wow, congrats to the Kidman-Urban family!I would have expected a more unusual first name from the couple who brought Sunday into the Name Spotlight, but the combo is nice.

I love the combo Faith Margaret but not as a sister to Sunday Rose. It could be worse though.

Lovely! I've always liked the virtue names Faith and Hope.Margaret isn't my style, but it sounds classy.

I like both names, but Faith and Sunday as a set is too cutesy sweet for me. It's overkill. Sorry, Nicole.

I don't like Faith, but Faith Margaret flows well. It is WAY better than the tacky Sunday Rose! She was pregnant? I didn't know that!

It says in the post that they used a gestational carrier (surrogate). This is the first anyone's heard of it.

Woah... +editI'm not a fan of Margaret but I actually kind of like Faith. I think it would suit their daughter (if that makes sense haha). I don't know why, but I can picture a little Faith Urban in that family :-)** Whoops, didn't read the post very carefully...had to do some editing haha.

Wow!That's a surprise! As for names I love Faith and like Margaret and Rose. I also like Isabella and Connor.
It's always good when A-listers choose normal names, since those names usually get more popular in the general public.
