The last 2 years have been content enough for Eleonore. She has settled into a routine of serving her husband in her wifely duties, but other than that they have little to do with each other. Eleonore knows full well that Heinrich sleeps with their servants, but can not find it in herself to care. She has become very numb over the last few years, and many have commented that she's really only a shadow of her former self, but as far as Eleonore is concerned being numb is better than the misery that had come before. The only joy Eleonore has had in her life for the last two years was Valeria. Valeria has grown into a curious child whom loves the outdoors and has a thirst for knowledge that Eleonore fears may get her into trouble one day.
Eleonore and Valeria still travel to the palace to visit Hedwig and the young Prince August, though these trips have become less frequent as time goes on. Eleonore finds it hard to go there and be so near Walter but not be able to be with him as she so craves, and she's very jealous of Hedwig. Each time she visited she found her discontent with her own life growing, so now just finds it less painful to not go, as much as every fibre of her being misses Walter...
When they received word from the palace that Hedwig was expecting a second child, Eleonore didn't know how to feel. She was happy for her sister, but heartbroken at the same time. Heinrich however responded differently, insisting that if they were having a second child, he and Eleonore must do the same. His visits to her bedchamber became nightly and Eleonore prayed that she would fall pregnant quickly. Luckily she did and she settled in to await the birth of her child, one she hoped dearly would be the son that Heinrich demanded. Elenore was about 7 months gone when world came that Hedwig had delivered a second son and Eleonore tried to be happy, but could not. She was just too drained, too sad, too lonely... she didn't even bother to send congratulations... 5 weeks later Eleonore went into labour. It was a difficult birth, much harder than Valeria's, and Eleonore cried in disappointment upon learning that she had a second daughter. It was not that she did not love the baby intensely, just as she did Valeria, but she felt like a failure. Heinrich was livid left their estate moments after the birth to drink at the local tavern. Eleonore named the baby herself, Amelie after her grandmother, Johanna after Heinrich, Hedwig for her sister, and Wilhelmine for a childhood friend she had not seen since the day of her wedding. Eleonore now understands why her father choose Hedwig to be queen, after all, Hedwig had now given Walter two healthy heirs, whilst she had only birthed daughters... Eleonore resigned herself to her misery and dedicated herself to raising the best possible daughters she could so at least one day they would marry fine men and give Heinrich strong sons-in-law...
As for the scandal at the court regarding the Dowager Queen's ladies, Eleonore has withdrawn from society so much that she is honestly completely oblivious and even if Heinrich is aware, he and Eleonore don't really talk so he hasn't bothered to tell her.
