[Opinions] Re: Norma / Norman
There's a lady that lives down the street from me, by the name of Norma. She's in her 70's, and hates her name. She said "it's so ugly!" I'm not too keen on it myself, it's sounds so old and heavy. I feel the same way about Norman, but when I think about the actor Norman Wisdom, it doesn't seem so bad on a male. He was so funny!

I feel pretty much the same about both names. Norman doesn't jump out at me, but it's OK -- even though it does make me think of Norman Bates! Norma, however, is the name of my 79-year-old mother. So for me it's inextricably associated with old ladies. I find it rather unattractive.
