King Walter and
Queen Hedy welcomed
Princess Hannelore to the Kaarmann family.
Prince Maxi does not care for the tiny little princess as she spends the most time with his mother.
August is intrigued with the little girl, and likes to make her laugh. However
August is most in love with his father. The little shadow still can be seen following his father around the palace.
Shortly after
Max was born
Walter was surprised when a guard announced the arrival of
Eleonore late one night. He knew better then to realize she came on a friendly visit. He ran to the suite he was told she was staying in. When he got to her, two little girls were tucked into bed and she sat there shaken and scared.
Eleonore revealed to
Walter how abusive
Heinrich had been since the birth of
Amelie.
Walter pulled
Eleonore close and tried his best to comfort her. He hated to see her cry and even more he hated the devil of a man who did not understand the beauty of his wife and in return for two children treated her like a common dog. The tension between
Eleonore and
Walter built until it was unbearable and result in the two finally becoming lovers.
Walter was in bliss for the two months that he had
Eleonore to himself. After the first night he spent with
Eleonore he sent his guards out to the bar where
Eleonore said that
Heinrich frequented.
Walter instructed them to beat him but in an inconspicuous manner.
Walter assumed that
Heinrich would be too shameful to show up at the palace to collect his wife and children in such a manner. However the months it took for him to recover came and went to fast.
Walter was elated as was everyone in the palace.
Hedwig loved having her sister around to keep her company during the days, as
Walter loved having her company at night.
August and
Max enjoyed playing with
Valeria and
Amelie.
During the two months
Magdalena frequently visited and on her discovery of
Walter and Eleonore’s relations she scolded the
King.
Walter was completely enraged at his sister’s hypocrisy. When
Magdalena begged and begged to let her marry a man she loved that he still has another dutiful sister and dutiful brother that she would not be of much value, he out of love allowed his sister to marry a commoner. For her sake she got to be in a loving marriage. He reminded her that men are allowed to take a mistress and it is not of her concern what his relations are. This is a man’s world and he will not take her interfering in his affairs of any kind. When
Magdalena came visiting on her last visit she refused her daughters title a gift of the his to her family and spat in his face that
Eleonore had given birth to his child.
Walter was unaware of Eleonore’s birth or the fact that the child she bore was his. A week later he received a letter from
Eleonore saying the same and that everything was ok because
Heinrich believed
Friedrich to be his. He was moved by her love and devotion to him. She carried his child in secret and named the boy after
Walter. He could not have
Eleonore,
Friedrich, or the girls so far away. He was going to have to find a way to keep the family close and
Heinrich far away. He was going to have to invite
Heinrich to be part of his court. That way he could send
Heinrich on duties, and educate Eleonore’s children with the royal tutors.
Friedrich would inherit
Heinrich duchy of Bergfalk and did not need Bruk.
Walter felt guilty that “mäuslein” could think that he did not love or care for
Hedwig and his children. He gave the Duchy of Bruk back
Katarina, and he gave the Duchy of Holik to
Hedwig so that should anything happen she would have her own place.
Walter realized he was not aware of Hedwig’s real feelings and whether or not she truly loved him.
Walter very much loved her, not in the way that he loved
Eleonore but he loved her like he love
Magdalena and
Adelheid. He loved their children in indescribable ways spoiled were the royal three. He even made a parade for
Princess Hannelore. He was starting to feel betrayed by his family for not understanding him. He grew distant from
Joseph and
Magdalena.
He decided that it was time to visit
Adelheid and he would take
Hedwig. He knew
Hedwig would enjoy the frivolity of French court and
Walter wanted to spend time seeing what
Adelheid was up to and apologize for her marriage. He gathered together special trinkets while he was there for
Eleonore and
Friedrich.
Shortly after
Heinrich collected
Eleonore an avalanche occurred near the boundaries of Bial and Switzerland. Avalanches were common in the area around this time of year and the extent of this avalanche was not particularly severe.
Walter hosted a celebration with close friends and family, because of how joyous his life was at the time and many of the Bialans took offense during the time of need. Walter’s plan for those affected by the avalanche was to send in supplies such as food and aid. There was not much anyone could do in the snow but he hoped to help rebuild the town in the spring. Many were off put by his plan but there was not much to be done in the mean time.
