Rank: Lord and Lady HowardIt has been four years since I gave birth to mon petit william, my husband and I had tried unsuccessfully for 3 years to conceive another child and we had almost given up hope. Then it happened and I was once again expecting. The pregnancy was more complicated than with my other 3 children, so much so that William had arranged for an English physician to see to my wellbeing . I was confined to my bedchamber for the last 2 months of the pregnancy which seemed to make time go much slower. Finally my waters broke and after a long arduous labour I gave birth to twins, a son and daughter. The babies are rather small though and I worry constantly for their health they seem however to be healthy and I pray this remains so.
Louisa is now 7 and is every inch the image of me, she is a very bright and loves to learn. She is a keen horserider and her papa takes her out with him often to ride through the countryside. He is very fond of the little girl and spoils her immensely. Caroline is 5 now and is much quieter than her elder sister, she also loves to learn and as quite an aptitude for languages, she is of course fluent in English and French, and does very well in Greek, Latin and Italian. She is a very pretty girl, not as beautiful as Louisa but it is clear she will still be a beauty. William now aged 4 is natured very much like Caroline, he is very shy but he works hard. He doesn't appear to have the same aptitude for learning as our daughters but still tries very hard in his lessons. He is keen on the outdoors and is happy to spend his spare time running around in the gardens, usually stomping on the plants in the process, much to our gardeners despair. The children are taught at home and have a tutor from England, Edward.. William insists they must be taught by an englishman, though I am sure there are tutors equally as capable in Bial. The tutor Edward is good at his job and the children seem fond of him so I suppose I can't complain. He is 24 and a rather handsome man, fascinating to talk to as he has travelled widely.. before my confinement I used to meet with him regularly to talk with him about his travels and interesting books and he would also fill me in on what the children have been learning .
