[Opinions] I knew a girl once...
named Britton. According to this site it's a masculine name, but at least it's a real name and not just the name of a country. :-) I agree, though, that Britain would be pretty bad. I think an American named America would be incredibly cheesy.

According to the Social Security administration site, there were 601 girls born in the USA in 2004 named America. (I think most of them were probably of Hispanic ancestry.) So there are a lot of parents in the USA who don't share your opinion about this being "cheesy". :)
