In the last seven years, the Leonardsen's have thrived. Christian married the daughter of a prominent family and has two children, Benjamin and Kristina. The marriage was seen as a generally good match, although the two clearly were not in love.
Jonathan however, married one of the chambermaids. They eloped during a small, intimate ceremony in a small chapel in the Bialan countryside. Nikolaus and Alexandra disaproved intensely, they felt that Sarah was not good enough for Jonathan. Due to Jonathan's family's disaproval of his marriage, he and Sarah moved away to the countryside, near where they were married. Alexandra's only contact with her son is through letters. Jonathan and Sarah have two children, Hugo and Philomena.
Anna has married Maximillian Kaarmann, Prince of Bial. Anna was one of Maximillian's first wife (Princess Juliette)'s ladies in waiting, and the two formed a flirtacious friendship. It was only after Juliette passed away during childbirth that their relationship took off. Anna is in love with Maximillian, and hopes to be a good step mother to Elsie.
Vincent has been sent off to military training, and shows great promise as a soldier. Katherine went with Anna to live at the palace, as a lady in waiting to Princess Hedwig. David thrives academically with his private tutors, especially in mathematics and science.
