Australian actress Isla Fisher and husband, British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen named their daughter (born in September) Elula. She joins older sister Olive (3).
-Elula is the feminine form of the Hebrew word "Elul" - the name of the sixth month of the Jewish calendar, which usually falls between August and September. Perhaps in reference to the month baby Elula was born.
American reality star Melissa Rycroft-Strickland and her husband Tye Strickland welcomed daughter Ava Grace Strickland on February 16th.
Canadian actor Brendan Fehr and wife Jennifer Rowley welcomed daughter Ellison Jane on January 23rd. She joins older sister James Olivia, 3.
American pastry chef Bartolo ‘Buddy’ Valastro Jr. and wife Lisa welcomed son Carlo Salvatore Valastro on February 14th. He joins older siblings Sofia, 7, Bartolo ‘Buddy’, 6 and Marco, 3.
-The baby’s name honors men close to the family: Carlo, for the man Valastro’s father took over the business from (the family runs a bakery), and Salvatore for Sal Picinich, who worked in the shop as a baker for more than four decades and whom Valastro considered to be a second father. Picinich lost his battle with cancer in January.
**Buddy’s sister Grace named her daughter Bartolina after their father.
Ivorian footballer Sekou Cissé and wife Fatima welcomed son Rahim Mohammed on January 31st.
