[Opinions] Calvin
I've always really loved this name. Do you like it? Would it be a better first name, or middle name? Know any good combos?

I adore Calvin, especially with the nickname Cal. I'd definitely prefer it as a first name, it's too good to waste in the middle name spot. Although, it was actually Calvin Coolidge's middle name...his name was John Calvin Coolidge, though most people don't know that. Not sure at what stage in his life he started to be called by his middle name, if it was from birth or what, or why.
Okay, enough history lesson. I'd come up with some combos, except I'm no good at that!

Three ... No, sorry, all of my nephews have Calvin in their name, as well as my DH.
Braden Andrew Calvin
Nicholas Sean Calvin
Calvin Jason
Robert Calvin (DH)
They are all honouring my DH's grandfather. Calvin Jason was named in his honour as his grandfather passed away in February 2008 and Calvin was born in October of the same year.
It's not really my style, and while I can appreciate honouring, I do believe DH's family has gone a little crazy with it. Please note that Nicholas & Calvin are brothers. Having said that, it is a nice, enduring name, which has and continue to age nicely.

Middle. I find Calvin a little silly because of John Calvin and Calvinism, and that's not a positive association.
I can't like it because all I think of is the meaning of "bald".
It sounds nice though....
