[Opinions] Celebrity BA
Britiah TV presenter Myleene Klass has had her second baby girl, Hero Harper Quinn, a sister for Ava (3). Quinn is the surname. Not my style but thoughts?http://celebrity.uk.msn.com/news/articles.aspx?cp-documentid=156702442

I despise Hero (too cheesy), but Harper is lovely. Here's hoping she goes by that.

Ugh. Hero sounds very fanficky, and masculine to boot. Hera would've been a thousand times better.

So she chose for her daughter one female name (Hero) that has sort of masculine overtones, and then two male names to match them. I guess there is a kind of logic to that ;)I agree with the others. I don't like it. I am okay with unisex names but it seems a bit stretchy and I would have used at least one regular girl name and Hero doesn't count in my opinion in this instance with this pairing.ETA just realized Quinn is the surname. But still... don't like it

Hero sounds ridiculous. I also hate Harper on a girl, but at least it isn't as bad as Hero. Be careful with mythological names!

I saw this earlier today. It's not my style at all. The whole name including surname is very unisex and the flow feels 'off'. Not what I expected, considering Ava is so popular. They feel mismatched to me. I remember Hermione Norris used this for her daughter a few years back.

I agree they seem mismatched. I was expecting something more conventional, from the top 100 for this baby. I also dislike that she has two masculine sounding names. I don't think I knew that Hermione Norris had also used it. I've been watching her in Cold Feet on DVD all afternoon (sorry v OT there!).

I agree it sounds very masculine and I dislike the double H sound, quite harsh. Ha ha, I was just thinking about how good Cold Feet was when I wrote about that. That's exactly the kind of thing I am in the mood of watching right now! I saw on Hermione Norris' Wikipedia page that she also has a son called Wilf. Again, it's not my usual style but it's kind of cute and could grow on me.
