[Opinions] Gertrude
What do you think of Gertrude and do you see it coming back?

I find it a really unattractive name in both look and sound. I don't see it making a comeback any time soon, if at all.
I want to like it, especially since I used to know a lovely Gertrude, but I just don't like the sound of it. I also don't care for the nicknames Gertie and Trudy, so that doesn't help much. I don't see it really coming back soon. It doesn't sound similar to names that are currently in fashion, but then again, perhaps it will become more popular amongst hipsters who tend to gravitate towards the "uncool" for the sake of being ironic. I don't see it becoming popular outside of hipster circles, though.
I don't like it at all and I don't see it coming back.
I think Gertrude is one of the most hideous names! I honestly think it's so ugly and I really hope it never comes back in use!
Dirty Gertie
I know, it's bad, but it's what I think. It's a good name for pets or plants or maybe even a mn, but as I first name, I just don't care for it. All I think of is "Dirty Gertie" and a tight lipped and angry teacher who swings a yard stick wehen she's mad...

I adore Gertrude! It's strong, earthy, and powerfully feminine.
I'm not sure if it will experience a resurgence in popularity -- I'm really bad at making such predictions.

It's okay, but it's too old ladyish.
I like it, but I don't see it coming back. It's a bit too serious and schoolmarm to charm modern parents, IMO.
This, together with Brunhilda, has been most mockecd by my siblings and cousins when we were little. So I have a very hard time taking it seriously. That said, both Gertie and Trudie are pretty darn cute. I'm still going to say no though, I just don't see it coming back.
