[Opinions] WDYTO Drake?
I know a kid named Drake and I kinda like it. What do you think? Any combos?

I've always disliked the name because it automatically makes me think of ducks when I hear it or see it. This leads to me mocking it in my head with quacking sounds. Even if it didn't have the duck association, I would just think it was too surnamey.
I don't know if I like it or not. I have trouble picturing it on a real person. I can see it on a vampire or a soap opera character. It feels very dark, mysterious, sexy.
Sounds like the kind of name a character would have in a soap opera. I lean towards not liking it.
Drake as in Sir Francis is fine; Drake as in cartoon ducks isn't. If there's a nautical connection, or a tradition of honouring naval heroes (think Nelson), then fine. I wouldn't use it myself, but there are very many worse names.
I think it's okay. Not one of my favorites, but I definitely don't mind it.
I used to like it, still do. Of course now all I can think of is the Canadian singer/rapper... but I think maybe by the time a baby with the name Drake is growing up, he won't be as popular.
That's one of my favorites. It's a little eccentric/modern seeming to me, but reasonable, sayable, modest - not in your face like, say, Draco or Hawk is. My husband crossed Drake off our list for our son early on, but it was a contender as far as I was concerned. I guess people think of ducks, or surnamey-ness, or fantasy fiction? Whatever... I just like it.
I don't do combos much because we just used honoring names. I like alliteration, though, so how about Drake Damian or Drake Andrew?
