[Opinions] Interesting BA
NZ rugby player Cory Jane (Jane is the Surname) and wife Amie along with older brothers Cassius and Tennyson welcomed a daughter/sister this week:
Prisseis Amelia
Cory explained that the name was a, and I quote, "play on "Briseis" - a character from the movie Troy and the love interest of Achilles".
Very very interesting in my opinion - why couldn't they have just used Briseis if they liked it, although a bit unusual and maybe hard to pronounce, it is much better than Prisseis which I presume is said like Precise and also the obvious teasing potential of Priss is not exactly nice.
ETA: Siblings names

Ick.
Briseis would have been so much better.

That whole "Priss" teasing potential is definitely too much. Upon first glance, I actually thought it said "Priss Amelia". Still regardless, I think it looks overall too prissy.
At first glance I thought it was a butchered spelling of Princess.
Prisseis is the worst name I've seen in a long time. It looks like it ought to be prn Prissy-us.
I agree, not a bad name, and I like the association, but they should have gone with the original spelling to avoid the "priss" thing.
