Is there such thing as "Omara", as a feminine form of Omar or something? Or an I just thinking of the surname O'Mara?

The name Omara definitely exists, there is a famous Cuban singer Omara Portuondo.
Omara can be a feminine of Omar, or a variant of Xiomara.
