Sorry for the delay in the new post, I went to visit family and the internet connection here is iffy. I'll try and post at least once more by Friday. Some families have had twins this round!
Two years more have passed, and all is not well in Kriana. The kingdom is threatening to tear itself apart over issue that have arisen in only the past few years. The problem of the appointees and old nobility, now dubbed Kriana's Great Matter, has caused a rift even among those no one thought it would concern. Debates also rage over an issue that only arose two years ago, the issue of rights for werewolves and other "half-breeds." Full-blood of any race, human or not, have always lived as equals, but half-breeds have always been on the margins, ostracized for being not quite one, nto quite the other. After the effots of one werewolf named Romolo Magro, this issue that has always simmered on the back of the fire has now boiled over and people are forced to confront their prejudices, especially as the queen looks likely to grant full rights and citizenship to them. Magro has given many impassioned speeches and the plight of his family has touched many, but it is unclear at the moment what the outcome will be.
Though Kriana is a troubled place now, life goes on. Babies are born, children grow, people make their livings the best they can. How is your family dealing with the turbulent atmosphere in the kingdom now? What are their opinions on Kriana's Great Matter and half-breed rights? What are their lives like now their family is growing?

As to the Great Matter, the Lockwoods are in a similar position as Princess Hermione and Prince William, as Ambrose was a lord before the war, and, though Flora’s mother was of noble birth, when Cassandra (née Rey) Arkwright married Cosmas Arkwright – a poor boat-builder – for love, Cassandra was disinherited. The girls are happy to have a little brother and Athena and Leda both want to hold him and help take care of him. Melaina is curious of the new child and plays with his toes while their mother feeds him.
The Great Matter places Hermione and William in a strange place. They hold titles both as new appointees and old nobility, by virtue of William's birth. As such, they are on neither side of the matter passionately, and hope that a middle ground can be reached between the new and the old. As tensions grown, Hermione and William have garnered a lot of attention as the highest ranking old nobility family in the realm. They are calling for the Rey-Anson family to swing the queen's opinion one way or the other.

After several discussions and two years of hard thinking and debates with some of the nobles Minnie has decided that half-breeds deserve equal rights as full-breeds. She has been slowly instating new policies and changing the laws but has been busy with the Great Matter recently and has not done as much and she would have liked to by now.
Minnie has had her hands full with both the old and new nobles protesting adamantly that they should remain in power. She understands how both sides feel but supports her decision to put new nobles in power alongside the old. She has been trying to appease them though.
In other news the Royal Family has welcomed another baby girl, Princess Nyx. Nyx has her father's deep black hair and eyes so she was named for the night, the newborn was also named after Romolo Magro and her third name is Maia, because her parents know that she will be great.

The Waterside Family is in the middle of a termoil amongst their nation and themselves. Magnus is of the old families and believes that those of the old family should remain in their positions and titles.
Coral who no one but Magnus and perhaps the healer have come to realize is half blood. She is a Corrigan although of mixed blood her father was a human mage. Coral is supportive of the equal treatment of all people.
Kalli has proven to be a prodogy mastering Corrigan skills her mother is unaware of. People are even more suspecting because the spells Kalli has mastered are not in the same nature as those of the mage and some of her power does not require spells.
Sander is a handsome boy who is full of energy, he has not shown any powers but gets healing and regeneration from the water. He spends much time at the ports with his family.
Ari the tag along to his big brother shows no abilities either, he is the most human like of the children. He resembles his father the most and has a strong fiery stubborn mind.

In the midst of the recent chaos, Romolo has found himself feeling more and more overwhelmed. He never imagined his brief, unplanned meeting with Princess Arianna will result in such a massive debate. It seems as if mobs and mobs of people began to separate themselves into factions based on their political beliefs, and the Magro family once again felt stuck in the middle. While their family life has improved (the sympathisers were quick to lend aid to their family), danger still looms from the heavily prejudiced, who were quick to point out that they were part-beast.
Romolo has gotten busier than ever, although he insists on taking his family with him as he pleaded his kin's issue throughout Kriana. Throughout those two heavy years, Lavinia never ceased to support her husband, patiently telling their children that their father is working to make them happy. Still, their curious Silvio pestered his mother and sister with endless questions - why can't Pappa come home now? Why Dora can't become a wolf too? Will Taddeo become a wolf too? These questions only served to stir up the unease within their parents, who knew for sure that if the werewolf problem is not solved soon, their children will live a painful adulthood.

While their family life has improved (the sympathisers were quick to lend aid to their family), danger still looms from the heavily prejudiced, who were quick to point out that they were part-beast.
Romolo has gotten busier than ever, although he insists on taking his family with him as he pleaded his kin's issue throughout Kriana. Throughout those two heavy years, Lavinia never ceased to support her husband, patiently telling their children that their father is working to make them happy. Still, their curious Silvio pestered his mother and sister with endless questions - why can't Pappa come home now? Why Dora can't become a wolf too? Will Taddeo become a wolf too? These questions only served to stir up the unease within their parents, who knew for sure that if the werewolf problem is not solved soon, their children will live a painful adulthood.

Elias and Drusilla feel that everybody deserves to have a chance a great life: half-bloods, full-bloods, commoners, nobles-- everybody. They are secretly hoping that the queen will grant the half-bloods full rights and citizenship. It just isn't right any other way!
They feel that the Great Matter is just a ridiculous quarrel and refuse to take any part in it.
Vera is now seven. She is quite the little tomboyish girl. She's always running about with a happy smile on her face.
Isaiah is five. He is quite and keeps to himself. While Vera is impulsive, he always thinks before he acts.
Isa is two, and what a darling little two-year-old she is, too! She's just as happy as her sister, though not nearly as impulsive.
Ezra was born just this year. He already seems to be quite the happy baby, though often times he gets this semi-philosophical (yes, in a baby!) look on his face. Drusilla and Elias don't know whether he'll be like his brother or his sisters yet.

Ari and Nicholas's popularity has taken a serious fall in the last few years. They are passionate supporters of half-breed rights, for one thing, and Ari has not been shy about showing it. She has been a participant in many half-breed speech rallies and forums, as has Nicholas, and Romolo Magro and his family have become fixtures in their lives. Their children pay together and are good friends, which Ari uses to her advantage in her speeches about the issue. If children can get along, she says, then we adults should be ashamed not to be able to.

She believes the whole Great Matter is just like her children fighting over a toy that it doesn't matter who has because both have one just like it. She is honestly astounded it has gone this far, and only worries that her sister might be the next target of the old nobility. After all, Minnie is the ultimate appointee. Nicholas agrees with her about the Great Matter, but is not so worried about Minnie. She may have been appointed, but it was by the people, by the very old nobility now acting like spoiled children.
