I love Angela! I have a friend Angie and think that is a sweet nickname for it too. I also love the name Angeline. Angelina is pretty but too Jolie so I wouldn't touch it. But Angela is just so pretty and classic, adore.

So many pretty combos...I can't choose. My mom's sister's name is Angela. She was named after their maternal grandmother (my great-grandmother).

Ok, so my thoughts are that Angela is too dated and is not ready for a comeback. Try it as a middle name!

Yay, love for Angela the Dated! I really like it, and nn Angie too.To me it isn't exactly lushly romantic. Not common, either. To me it just seems conscientious, bright, and strong, sort of like the feminine counterpart of, say, Michael, or Christian.I like Angela Millicent, Angela Rosamond, and Angela Vivien.

I love Angela! I'm not sure how you feel about nicknames, but one of the reasons I like it so much is because I also love the nickname Angie :-)Angela Pearl jumped out at me from that list - I think it's gorgeous! Some other faves:Angela Beatrix
Angela Caroline
Angela Constance - another gorgeous one
Angela Delphine
Angela Emmeline - I really like all of the vowels together
Angela Iris
Angela Margot
Angela Millicent
Angela Solveig
Angela Sylvie
Angela VerityAngela Pearl is my definite number 1, followed by Angela Constance, then Angela Emmeline.

I quite like Angela, though I don't get a lot of romantic vibes from it. To me it's one of those pleasantly dated names--that makes me picture a smart, smiling girl in the 80s. Although I also associate it with Angela's Ashes, so that's a different image alltogether, but still one I like.I like all of these combos:
Angela Bernadette
Angela Bryony
Angela Catherine
Angela Ernestine
Angela Fern - pretty sure I have this combo saved, saw it in a BA awhile ago
Angela Harriet
Angela Margaret
Angela Marian
Angela Marigold
Angela Maude
Angela Nimue
Angela Rosemary
Angela Vivian

I really love the feel of the name Angela. It's sweet and feminine but not at all weak. One of my best friends as a child was named Angela so I'm sure that influences my view point. It really doesn't seem that common to me, though looking at the data I can see there was a time period where it was more common. Of your combos I like these best: Angela Bernadette
Angela Cecile
Angela Fern
Angela Martine
Angela Mathilde
Angela Myrtle
Angela Prudence
Angela Sigrid
Angela Violet
Angela Winifred

Angela is very musical to me. It should be sung, not spoken. The soft "j" sound in the middle is my favorite part. :-)All of your combos are simply ripping. (I've been watching too many costume dramas lately.) But my favorites are:Angela Bryony
Angela Capucine
Angela Catherine
Angela Clothilde
Angela Dagmar
Angela Eunice
Angela Hesper
Angela Hester
Angela Iris
Angela Mabel
Angela Margot (!)
Angela Marion
Angela Maud / Maude
Angela Melisande
Angela Muriel
Angela Myrtle
Angela Pearl
Angela Rosamund (swoon)
Angela WinifredAngela is an overlooked gem.
