Help[Opinions] Ahnika
I posted about this name a while back but I have a correction to make. My brother and his wife want to name the child this. They announced it via Facebook BUT the mother spelled the name wrong in the Facebook announcement. She spelled it Anhika. Future posts and my complete disgust later, I find out that it's supposed to be spelled Ahnika. In my opinion this really is not much better. I feel like Annika (Anika) is a common enough name that it doesn't need a pointless h in there to help pronounce the name. My brother tried to tell me that they like the spelling because it's 'unique' and that there are only 9 people registered with the SS Administration with this spelling.
I don't think it's unique and I almost feel sad that there is an h in there. Their children from previous relationships have names that are 'normal' and spelled correctly. The middle name is going to be Katherine.
