[Opinions] Nella
I have been thinking of the name Nella a lot lately. I like it as a nickname, but I think it can work as a full name as well. I think it's more substantial than Nell. What do you think of Nella? Do you prefer it as a full name or a nickname?

I like Nella. Anella is also nice, but I don't know if you're style. I do prefer it to Nell as a first name.

I dig it. I like it as a full name. I like to think of Nell and Nella as feminine forms of Neil, etymology aside. Its my OWN etymology and it works for me.I think it's really silly, at the same time as being pretty and distinctive. It just seems so dumb. NELLa. Love it.

I've only ever known it as a nn for Petronella, or the objectionable Pieternella. It's definitely preferable to either of those, but I'd still prefer it to be a nn - just a universally used one.

It would be fine as a full name, but I like it as a nickname for something longer, Ornella in particular.

Nella is really cute. I think it's fine as a full name, but I like it as a nickname as well. It's a great nickname for Penelope.

I don't like it. I think Nell is better.

I really enjoy the breezy delicateness of Nella, though I've yet to embrace it as a given name. If I had to choose a longer version, I'd probably opt for Petronella.I also love Nell.

It's alright. It kind of reminds me of Nutella the spread.

I love Nella! It was my great grandmothers name. It is strictly full name for me.However, I suppose it could be use as a nickname for: Helen, Ellen, Eleanor, Penelope, Fenella, Donatella, Cornelia, Petronella and Prunella.ETA: Antonella, Donella, Ionela, Janella, Marianela, Nelda, Sanela and Nelinha.

I like it. It's simple and sweet, the same feelings I get from names like Amelia, Emily, and Mabel. I think it could stand alone, but I also like it as a nn for Petronella.

Pretty cute! It could certainly be a full name. I'd probably prefer is as a nickname for something like
Antonella
Cornelia
Janella
or Penelope
Cute though and way way way better than Nell.

I like Nella, but I don't love it. It seems incomplete to me. So I guess I'd prefer it as a nn. Not sure what for, though...

I adore itIt is my top girls name at the moment and has been for awhile (Penelope nn Nella). It is also my favorite nn for Eleanor.I think it can definitely stand on its own as well and I would use it as such if I couldn't convince a SO to use Penelope or Eleanor, but I do prefer it as a nn.The author of a blog I read has a little girl named Nella Cordelia which I think is a perfect little combo.

I love Nell to death but I've never been able to get behind Nella. I guess it sounds old-ladyish to me or something. However, Nella can unquestionably work as a full name.

I think of Nella more as a nn for Antonella, but I can see it standing alone as well. I prefer Nell (which needs a fuller name), but Nella is nice too.

Reminds me of NutellaI would prefer having a full name if it were for myself.
