I don't really see why it's worse for British parents than anyone else. Prince Harry is just called Prince Harry - people never call him Prince Henry, so people might not know that Harry is short for Henry.
I do think it's strange that they didn't know that the names are related, but I don't see why it's so much worse just because they're English!
