I like the name Lynn. I have a friend named Lynn although I don't know what her middle name is. I have only ever known a couple of Lynns and they were all born in the 60s. I have known of many people with Lynn as a middle name.

I think it's pretty plain and dull, especially as a middle name. However it would be alright as a nickname. For example, Belinda with the nickname Lin might be sweet.

I really like Lynn. I have a cousin Monica Lynn which I think sounds very nice. I think it would be spelled Lynn alot, though I do like the look of Lin. Very simple and pretty. I do know one girl named Lynne, she's given me bad feelings about the name, though I've isolated it to that spelling. She's just plain mean unfortunately.

Lynne is my mother's middle name. I like it better without the E. I like Annabel Lynn. I've been thinking that I will use as a middle name with Alana. So it'll be Alana Lynn. I think Lynn, however it's spelled, is a very pretty middle name. It can also hold it's own as a first name. Lynn Autumn is very pretty (just noticed it).

Beautiful! I do prefer it to be spelled Lynne though. I'd use it more for a first name, if I had to pick.

Thr only spelling I like is Lynne. Lynn is boring because of the lack of vowels and the rabid overuse as a middle name. And Lyn looks incomplete.

It can be sweet as a first name. I have known 1 in her late 20's.

I had a friend named Lynn. We were born in the 1960's, if that gives you perspective. I always liked her name because it was so unusual to hear it as a fn. Being an "Ann Marie" myself I noticed early on how fillerish Lynn, Marie and Ann / Anne were. Plus, Lynn has such a lovely soft, easy-going quality to it that I cuold love it for its sound alone. I know another Lynn born in the late 60's.

Finding a mn for Lynn is tricky. It requires the wiring in my brain to re-route. I once came up with Lynn Amanda, but I'm not entirely happy with it. Lynn Tabitha is nice too.

ETA: Reading Llewella's post I can't believe I forgot about Lynn as a boy's name. I love it on a boy too, maybe more so. It never occurred to me until now that two of the few unisex names that I like are Lee and Lynn, both filler mns. Hmm.

Clearly you're talking about Lynn on a girl. I do prefer it for a boy, but on a girl I think it has a simple sweetness to it. I was friends with a Lynn in school, and she was an artsy sort of person and too fashionable for our rural little town. My dad also has a cousin his age named Lynn, and she lives in Montana so I can also picture a Lynn as very outdoorsy. I like either image. As with any fillery mn, I prefer Lynn as a fn. Lynn Autumn is really pretty, and goes along with that outdoorsy image!

I think people will automatically spell it Lynn. I've never seen Lynne or Linn or Lin before.
