It looks like a poor ripoff of my sister's name ( Ella ) and it's way too common, also, I don't like Em- names generally.

I find it weird that you think it's a ripoff of Ella, when both names have been around for centuries - in fact Emma is an older name than Ella. It's not like Emma was made up to be like Ella. And Ella is really common too.

I never said i thought it was a ripoff of Ella, I said it LOOKS like a ripoff of Ella.

hah. I've always felt that way about Ella, as an Emma.Nothing personal, of course, I think they're both OK names. I just get a little defensive about Ella.
