Tharcille -- Tar Heel (just kidding), Tillie
Celandine -- Deenie
Seraphine -- Fifi, Saphine, Saphie, Angel
Heloise -- Ouisie / Weezie (I know you love Ouida and its sooooo close)
Idony -- Id (Let the Freudian games commence)
Ambrose -- Ambie
Apolinaire -- When I google I only get it as a surname. Is this for a girl or a boy? I've got Apolinaria / Apolinariya on my long list and can see Apple, Pear, Polly, Polaire, Plein Aire (GP), Pola for her. They work just as well, if not better, for Apolinaire. [If it's for a boy, you could use Guy as a nod to Guillaume A.] -- Ah, I see it's masculine and Apollinaire. So: Apollo, Paul, Pollux?
Nolwenn -- Nola, Nollie
Modesty -- Mo, Modo, Mojo (if irony is your thing), Dessa, Messy (just kidding)

Apollinaire is masculine. I always spell it wrong, I'm sorry.

Hmm, it's a neat name. I've never seen it before. How about Pol as a nickname, I like that!
