Twin round! This will be the only one within the first generation.

The kingdom had just started the first planting season after the last royal child's birth when the queen announced she was pregnant again. This time the people watched both the queen and their crops nervously, many connecting the baby's health with the health of the harvest. This pregnancy, coming so soon after the last, was rather hard on the queen, and the people watched anxiously. But the floods and the crops that rotted in the fields proved to be a good thing for the land, and it gave bountifully that year, as did the queen--twins were born to the royal family! To please the people, the royal couple decided to incorporate popular names of the common people into their children's names. Because of this and the bountiful harvest, the twins are even more beloved by the people than the first three royal children. How is the queen's health after giving birth to twins so soon after the third child? How are the twins? How are relations with the rival/enemy kingdom?

1524. One year later, things have recovered slowly in Urbino. So far, the new harvest seems to be approaching nicely, and the people, though wary, were optimistic. Just in time, Lucrezia got pregnant again, and she soon found the public eyeing her with great interest. The people were a superstitious bunch, as Romolo said, and they connected her pregnancy with the crops' fate. And indeed, it seemed as if a connexion almost existed - both fared hardly, and yet both succeeded. The crops were healthy and the harvest bountiful, and Lucrezia, too, bare twins instead of one son! The twins were named, as usual, after various family members, but this time Romolo and Lucrezia decided to incorporate the common names from around them as well. As a result, Tonio and Fede were quite popular with the masses, even more so than Vanozza, Perotto, or Claudia.

Meanwhile, their unit as a family has grown closer and closer. Romolo and Lucrezia, while never passionately in love, had found themselves loving each other in an almost deep friendship-like way. They confided in each other, trusted each other, and while never lusty they were the closest friends they each have. And growing to their love was their mutual affection for their children - bright, cheery Vanozza, quiet, calculating Perotto, gentle, fairy-like Claudia, and even the newborn twins. And so far, their relations with their extended family were going on well - Francesco della Rovere had seemed to withdrawn all of his hostile intentions, much to his sister-in-law's relief, and the new Medici Pope seems to be holding on to his papacy quite tightly.

Life is good in Saxenburg-Ausbeck. Things have settled down between the duchy and Zeerburg-Münligen and for the first time in years Saxenburg-Ausbeck is a very peaceful place to live. Since the duchy is an agricultural state most people depend on the weather and it seems like this year will be a fantastic year that well exceeds their dreams. And can you believe it, the Fürstin had twins! That is a good sign and the people celebrate for days.
In the royal household the relationship between Josephina and Gregorius III is still very strained. She is tired after having so many children in five years. She feels so old and she's only 23. She's secretly thrilled that the doctor told her and Gregorius III to not have any children for at least two years. Her body needs to recover and another pregnancy can lead to her death if it's too soon. She recently began to fantasise about a stable boy (she now knows his name is Tilo Kimard) after suspecting that her husband has a mistress. She now fantasise about running away with Tilo and leaving everything behind. However, Tilo seems oblivious to the effects he has on the Fürstin. In fact, Josephina has only seen him from her window. She has tried to come up with an excuse to go down to the stable but she is yet to come up with a good one. Josephina is also terrified that her husband has had a child out of wedlock. He is much older than her and she knows he has had plenty of women before her.
Gregorius III on the other hand is happy with his life.

The birth of the children was quite difficult on Valli, and Valli's having a difficult time recovering. Luckily, any trouble with the rival nations have subsided, and the harvest has improved. So Valli can take time to relax and recover.

Adelia was exhausted to have so many children so quickly. She was ordered to spend most of her time in bed, though she disliked being able to be with her family. King Lucian was left to deal with the problems with the crops. Since, Dellorne is a merchant nation, the bad crops were not such a problem. However, poor harvests in other nations made it difficult for the people of Dellorne to get grain, as they usually bought it from other, more agricultural nations.

As if signifying the success of a bountiful harvest, twins Princess Leigha and Prince Caleb were born. This pregnancy was the hardest yet for Elena. In the last few weeks before birth, Jeremy grew very worried for his wife's health. The delivery of the twins was rather uneventful, however, and though her recovery took longer than the others, Elena is doing wonderful. Nikolas is excited to have a third little brother, and Rhys and Dominic are excited to have a new baby sister.

Very soon after Prince Casper's birth the Queen once again realized that she was pregnant. She felt very tired and sick in the beginning of this pregnancy, and both she and the King were afraid that they were going to loose their baby. After all, Prince Casper had just been born!

The worry of loosing the baby grew even bigger when it was confirmed that the Queen were expecting identical twins.

Josie is hurting after giving birth so soon after she gave birth to Dannie but she is slowly recovering and has been spending a lot of her time around Magda, who is overwhelmingly kind and takes care of Josie, because Theo has been spending a lot of the last few months in the counsel room - the Dokshainens are one misstep away from declaring war on the Thylosians. Theo has yet to share this with his wife because he doesn't want Josie to become too stressed and grow sicker but he knows if they do declare war he won't be able to hide it from her.

Lan was thrilled that he finally got not one, but two younger brothers, though he's a bit upset that he can't play with them just yet. Riny spends a lot of her time following Lan around, mostly because she doesn't like seeing her Mother lying in bed as often as she does, and what little time she doesn't spend around Lan she spends with Magda's third boy Oskar, who's the same age as her. Dannie spends most of her time asleep or with Josie, Magda and her baby brothers.

Alexandria has yet to return to Dokshaina and feels guilty about the impending war but Theo has been trying to convince her that it isn't her fault and she can stay in Thylos for the rest of her life if she wishes. Her eldest, Charlotte, is more than happy to stay because she has friends a lot of friends here and she knows that her Daddy was mean but the second-youngest, Alberta, misses her Father and doesn't quite understand why they can't go back.
