[Opinions] Claudia? WDYT?
Too common for obscure tastes like mine?
Replies
It's well-known, but not very popular these days. It doesn't seem boring to me.
I don't think it is too common. I don't know any. I think it is the type of name most people have heard of but they don't know any. So it is familiar but not common.
Now if you want something very out there that most people have never heard of, then maybe you want something else.

I don't know how obscure your taste it, but I don't think Claudia is very common. I've met one Claudia, who is 21.
I like it and think it's elegant and attractive, deserving more use - it doesn't strike me as too common. However, the meaning "lame" would deter me from using it, and I'm put off the pretty Cecily and Cecilia for the same reason.

Claudia is pretty, but I prefer her sisters Klaudia and Klaudija. Especially Klaudija!
I prefer saucy French Claudine, whose pronunciation is beyond doubt; and also even saucier Latin Clodia, that sexy aristocrat with populist political views who was immortalised by Catullus and immortalised him in turn. Perhaps they might be unusual enough for you?
I don't like the meaning behind it at all but it's been going up on the ssa charts soo I don't think it will be too popular.
