What do you think of Ffion?
It means "foxglove" in Welsh, which I think it a lovely meaning!
The double F looks a bit strange but it sounds very pretty in my opinion.

I don't know why, it seems fairly masculine to me.

Maybe it's because it's similar to the boys name Finn.

It's very lovely. Old favorite of mine, and since I comprehend Welsh I understand the reason why the double "f" is there, and it wouldn't bother me to explain why.

Actually it's muh-VAN-wee, because 'y's in Welsh make an 'uh' sound unless they're in the last syllable.

Ffion is an old favorite of mine. I also think the meaning is lovely. It's such an unusual flower to be named after, but there were some foxgloves growing wild not far from where I live just last month and they were stunning. Plus it's nice to have a change from the typical Rose, Lily, Violet flower names. I suppose it doesn't hurt that I love the Welsh language. I think the double f is interesting and at the same time not a huge obstacle. Ffion is really pretty easily pronounceable. I think anyone who wasn't familiar with Welsh would say it just the way it sounds with a quizzical look.

I knew a girl named Ffion. I was "in love" with her LOL (young lad - older girl type smitten love) :) But I have very fond affection for the name as a result.
