Julie -Bleh. I hate it. But I may be a bit biased, as my name is Julia and people are always trying to call me Julie. It drives me nuts.
Robin -It's kind of masculine and dated, but won't scar your child for life or anything.
Carrie -Waaaaaaay too cutesy as a full name. Caroline is gorgeous, though (Carolyn is really not ready for a comeback). I do not pronounce Carrie and Kerry the same. Carrie is KA-ree (A as in apple) and Kerry is KEH-ree. I'm in the US.
Mary -I love it. You can't go wrong here.
Melissa -Ruined for me by personal association. But that aside, it's fluffy and insubstantial. All the -issa names are pretty but really lightweight.
Jessie -Way, way, way too cutesy.
James -See Mary.
