No matter how it's pronounced, seeing the name always makes me think of panini. The natural pronunciation for me is peh-NEE-nuh, but I don't find it particularly attractive either way.

Yes, better a food than anything else. A good panini is delicious, anyways.

I have the same problem with Margery, because some people think of margarine.

But at least it tastes good and is a real name! At least it isn't like naming your kid after Spinach or something lol.
