[Opinions] Aubrey
I love the name Aubrey for a boy and I'm so upset to see that now it has become used and known more as a girls name.
I have always loved this name - I first heard of it from the Dodie Smith novel 'I capture the castle'
my other half does not want to use it for a possible future son because of the problem of it becoming a girls name which I understand...
so because I am soon getting a little male puppy I want to use it for him!:-)
What do you think?
Do you think Aubrey will suit my puppy?
(He's a Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.)

I think it would be fine. It sounds like it would suit him well. I like Aubrey as a male name.
Aubrey would be totally perfect for a Cavalier King Charles! Go for it, and please try to post a picture of him when he arrives.
I'm entirely with you about the masculineness of Aubrey: it's not just male, it's tough! Why people can't stick with the adjacent Audrey for their daughters, I do not know. So far I haven't spotted any girl Aubreys here in South Africa, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Can call a dog whatever you want... Even Kitty if you want to be a little cheeky and/or confuse the neighbours when you call your dog inside... I think Aubrey's kind of ugly on either gender as a person's name, but that's obviously just my opinion seeing as it's become kinda trendy the past few years... To me it just looks like someone spelled Audrey wrong and even that name doesn't excite me.
I really, really love Aubrey on a boy right now. I would totally recommend it, so if you want to use it on your puppy, go for it!
Aubrey's great for a puppy. I think it will suit a Cavalier King Charles especially well.
It is surprising that Aubrey is more popular now for girls than Audrey, isn't it?

I think Aubrey is a cute name for a puppy. Go for it.
Oh, I love Aubrey on a boy! So sweet and charming.
It will surely fit a puppy.
