Eric Hastings, Ric to his friends, has become very well known over the last few years playing the leading role of Luca Van Ross on the most popular show on TV, Blood Diaries. He's become a sex symbol, something he finds really amusing, though he knows it's really Luca's dark raw sexuality who all the girls want, not Ric himself.
Ellie Vincent is a victoria's secret model, and a college graduate with a degree in literature. She hates the 'bimbo' stereotype models seem to get and the only thing that fazes her usually calm demeanor is people assuming shes all looks and no brains.
Ric & Ellie met when Ellie took a guest role on Blood Diaries (her agent thought she should 'branch out'...). They became friends quickly, and they couldn't help but laugh at all the tabloid rumours that suddenly sprung up about them. They would often hang out in those first few months and it was a personal joke between them to see what lies the paparazzi would fall for. Within 6 weeks of meeting, they'd managed to create rumours that they were pregnant with triplets, and married, and then separated. Their publiscists were furious with them, but Ric & Ellie found it halarious to finally one up the tabloids. Everything changed however when they took their 'relationship' to a new level as part of their never ending game and Ric kissed her... With that one kiss everything changed and all of their playing at being in a relationship stopped and they actually started dating. Once the game was over they became very private about their love. It was all fun while they were just messing around, but once they'd actually admitted their feelings they weren't so ok with the constant intrusion, though they try to protect their reputations by being cordial at least.
They had been dating for eight months when Ric asked Ellie to marry him and she agreed readily as they are truly in love. They didn't announce their engagement and eloped only a week later, marrying on a private beach in the greek islands with only their immediate families a few close friends in attendance. They're excited that they managed to hide it from the paparazzi and have their day in peace, though they have agreed to sell a few pictures to 'People' with the proceeds going to charity. Now back in LA, they've moved into a 6 bedroom home on the beach and are very happy.
