What do you think of Hayley? I really love this name, but only spelled Hayley. I dislike Hailey, which unfortunately is the most popular spelling by far. Haley is alright but I don't like any other spellings.
Would it get spelled Hailey a lot? How many do you know and how do they spell it? Do you think it's too common? If you heard it, what would be your first assumption as how to spell it?
Do you know whether Hayley is the original? I think so, but some people say it's Haley. Someone once found a popularity list from England that was really old and Hayley was used there but I heard Haley was first used in the US (according to the lists on this site Haley was in the top 1000 in 1974 while Hayley followed in 1977, but Hayley Mills was born even before then, named after her mom's maiden name). I'd love to find out if anyone happens to know anything.
