If you want to adjust every writing prompt thereafter to reflect that, then you are free to do as you want.
I don't know exactly where I'm going... but I do know that I want the new queen to have 3-ish single children, and the youngest will be the new heir to the throne in this story-line...
A suggestion if you don't want to adjust... have Gabby's husband meet with an accident... maybe from the invading force?

Hmm...
Could I have him marry the ally, and then Katarina have to give up the throne for some reason before she reaches adulthood, naming her youngest sibling her heir?
