What about Soleil? Is that a name the French would find silly?
BTW, the only one on your list I've heard as a name is Cherie and I think it has a pretty nice sound. I think I've heard Deja too...sounds like the name of a stripper.

Unfortunately yes, Soleil would be found very strange and even a bit silly, because here it is not a name... But there are names like Solange or Solene that are very common.
