[Games] Re: Viatrix & Jessica_p
Our family:
Viatrix & Jessica_p
LN: Galloway
DH: Robert Xavier Galloway
DW: Matilda Josephine (Black) Galloway
DD: ? *Okay, this is looking like it's gonna be a long post.. I'm gonna break it down into little bits. From our initial list, these are the ones I think sound best with Galloway:
Clara Galloway
Alexandra Galloway (but I don't really care for Alexandra as a first name)
Cordelia Galloway
Petra Galloway
Octavia GallowayI like the rest as middle names, though – I think the only ones left were Mariel, Lorelei and Miriam. *
My breakdown of your list: with notes under each name... Love:
Verity
I don't particularly care for Verity with Galloway, but I do really love the name. It would make a great middle though?
Diana
I really love this name, but I am a bit of a nickname person so I really especially like it in the middle.
Lillian
Lovely, getting a little popular, but still very charming. I like it a lot.
Miranda
I really, really love this and the nickname Mira. I think it works marvellously with Galloway. Like:
Elise
Nice, but a bit bland. I would love Elisabeth as a full name for it.
Christine
A bit dated, but would sound nice in the middle.
Aurora
I find Aurora a bit boring and overly princess-y. It's still quite nice though.
Olivia
Too popular for me personally, I prefer the less popular Olive.
Felicity
I prefer the male form – Felix – but I can appreciate Felicity's beauty. But since it doesn't flow well with Galloway I've put it here. I would like it in the middle, perhaps?
Azalea
A bit out there, but I do like it. Dislike:
Kiera
I prefer Keira. Too popular though.
Aria
It feels insubstantial to me.
Vanessa
Dated in a bad way to me. :-\
Piper
Unfeminine...
Fiona
I have an irrational dislike for Fiona from my mother.
Rowena
I don't like the sound of this – but I really like Rowan.
Claudia
Harsh sounding.
Katrina
Hurricane Katrina is all I can think of and I'm not even American!
Ophelia
Oh Feel Ya. Sorry. :(
Raven
Seems silly and melodramatic to me, unfortunately. :( * My list for you to critique :D (Just some names I thought sounded nice with Galloway – sorry if they've featured in a previous list, I can't remember)Alice

Thanks for the critiques! My favorites among the ones we already have are Alexandra, Miriam, Cordelia and Octavia. I have to say I'm leaning most towards Cordelia (actually a name I have on my PNL). But let's hold off on deciding at this moment. As far as the additional names you suggested, I like the names Olive and Rowan (though I prefer Rowan for a boy). I find the name Elisabeth to be quite boring, actually. Maybe it's just because I hear it all the time. Here's my own breakdown of your list:LOVE:
Camilla - Beautiful name. And it travels very nicely as well. I also like the name Camille
Cecilia - Adorable. It sounds so warm and friendly.
Emilia - Yay for another Shakespearean name! This is one of my favorites
Ginevra - Beautiful, and so refreshingly different. The Harry Potter association doesn't hurt either :-)
Helena - I think it would work better in the middle, but it's such a soft and pretty name
Iona - That's the name of the college in my hometown. I also love the name Ione
Magdalena - Was actually going to suggest this but thought it flowed a little weird with Galloway. Would be terrific as a middle name.
Marietta - Lovely Italian name! Hope you don't mind if I show a little cultural pride :-D
Theresa - Love this one. I'm surprised that I don't hear it more often now. And I love the nickname Tess for this one.LIKE:
Alice - Great name, but I think it would work better as a middle name
Beatrix - It's nice, but I prefer Beatrice
Cliona - Never heard this one before, but it sounds pretty. Like the nickname Clio, too
Gwendolen / Gwendolyn - I'm not in love with this one, but I do this it's a terrific name. Very quirky and fun.
Philippa - This one's starting to grow on me a lot. I especially like the nickname Pippa, so adorable.
Rosalia - Love this one, but think it would be better as a middle name with Galloway
Silvia - This sounds dated to me, but it's still pretty

Cordelia Alice
Cordelia Beatrix / Beatrice
Cordelia Diane *
Cordelia Felicity *
Cordelia Lilian

Cordelia Verity
Cordelia Vivienne *I've starred my favourites. As far as other first names go, I really like Ginevra with Galloway [for some reason the alliteration there really appeals to me!] and Iona. What do you think?

Ginevra works really well with Galloway. I also love Camilla, Miranda and Theresa. However, I really feel like I'm set on Cordelia for this round. I can't think of any other middle names right now, so my favorites among your list are Cordelia Felicity, Cordelia Verity and Cordelia Vivienne.

I'd be really happy to go with Cordelia Vivienne? That's my favourite of those three.
