Well, I wasn't sure how to address this because in this time period -ie names were very popular for girls, so nicknames like Sophie are in the top 200 but the full Sophia is somewhere in the 220s. Mattie is #60 in 1910, but both Mathilda and Matilda are below the top 200. (Unless you think of it as being short for Madeline, which is #145.) However, I don't see anything wrong with a little more variety, so I'm going to bend the stated rules a little and say yes, feel free to elaborate nicknames to their traditional full version, including full versions that are below the top 200.
