I truly haven't known that many. I have one grown nephew named just
Alex (not
Alexander because his surname also ended in 'er' and I think my sister regretted that) and another named
Christian Alexander (4). I have a good friend who named her son
Robert Alexander (
Alex, 13). I also have a friend whose friend has a grandson (got that?) named
Alexander (
Alex, about 10). I've sort of considered it myself with the nn
Alec which would complement our surname. I like
Lex too. I don't find
Alexander boring. It's gorgeous. Having said that, I'm more interested in other names (
Leo,
Gabriel,
Rhys,
Adrian, etc.) so I doubt I'd ever go back.
BTW, I really like all of your faves too, especially
Eve.
