I like it, and I think it's underused. I probably wouldn't use it myself, but I would love to meet one.

I think it's beautiful, and I like the musical feel. I go back and forth on whether or not I like it better than Melanie.

Melody is such a pretty musical word. I think it is ok as a name. It has a nice sound but feels a little dated. I prefer Melanie.

Melanie actually feels more dated than Melody to me... Maybe because most Melanies I know were born in the 60s or 70s and the Melodys are kinda randomized... at least 1 in the 80s... and 1 I'm not sure whether she would have been born in the 50s or 60s... also because Melanie's popularity has generally been stronger than Melody's.

More accessible and not really all that different from Elodie, which is getting rave reviews by a lot of posters.

It's a nice name. I'm not enthrawled with it, but I like it. Doesn't seem very common these days and would maybe at least be more refreshing than another Lily, Sophia, etc. on a small child.

I actually quite like it. Not enough that I would use it, but I'd like to see it. I think it's much nicer than other Mel names like Melanie or Melissa, and it has a nice musical connotation to it. I actually think the word Melody sounds quite musical and pretty as well.
