Out of curiousity what do you think about the name Athenais? Too feminine or not enough? I know having an "L" in a name helps soften it up a bit.

What about these names
Josephine Athenais --does this rhyme too much with the similar sounds at the end of both names?

Josephine Anselme (like the meaning)

Josephine Ancelle (this is actually a singers name)

Josephine-Ancelle Athenais ---- too wordy right?

This isnt for a particular reason, just fond of these names!

Athénaïs

I love the way Athénaïs is pronounced in French. The famed sculptor Camille Claudel's mother was named Louise-Athénaïse.

I see the French version is pronounced a-tay-na-EES; do you have any idea what the English pronunciation is? I want to say a-ta-NAY-is, but that's probably wrong.

In any case, it looked pretty. I like it more than Athena. Athena has always seemed too highly but dry to me.

I only know the French pronunciation, maybe another would be "Athena-ees"? I'm not sure but I would go with the French one anyways because its so pretty.

I LOVE Athénaïs. So, so pretty.

I don't like any of the combos. They don't flow well. And I'm just not a fan of Josephine. I'd much rather meet a little Athénaïs.

I'm not big on the combos either but I can't find much that flows with it without sounding wordy. I love Genevieve but I don't know if they go together, I just love love Josephine.
