I've met a Spring before. She worked at the post office and is likely in her 50s by now.
I think the fact that "spring" is also a word deters people from it - the same reason you don't see "fall"I love Aviva and Rabia for their meanings, which are "spring" and "springtime"

Yes I think the word "spring" probably puts people off. Spring the season wouldn't be my first assocation: I'd think of a spring and/or spring rolls.

I agree that's probably why spring isn't used as a name the way other seasonal names are. But I love it as a name, I think it's so bright and fresh. I would be very excited to meet one in real life!
