For some reason I don't like Harold, but I'd like it if I saw a kid named Herald. It's partly the fact that Harold makes me think old/dated, and partly something about the "ar" pronounced like "air" that just makes me prefer it when it's spelled "er". Less tension or something. Also I'm a secret sucker for random word names, especially when they sound very namey...
