I actually know a guy (Not in real life just facebook) who was going to be Evelyn but ended up Maria instead (yes a guy). He goes by Dana.

I think Evelyn for a boy is only good pronounced "ev-a-lin" and not "eev-lin".

I never considered the pronounciation difference before, but yes I see what you mean.

I've never encountered it prn'd eev-lin... only Ev-a-lin.
