I'm skeptical of its legitimacy. It looks like a smush of Tiernan (which is Anglicized from Tighearnan) and Neve or Sive (which are Anglicized from Niamh and Sadb, respectively). It also makes me think of Steve without the S.

I have no idea... if you hadn't said it was Irish, I would say "tee-EHV", but that sounds more French. Maybe it's an anglicized spelling? TEEV? TEE-ve?

I don't know, but it makes me think of the word "thief". Not fond of it at all.

Are you sure it is Irish? There is no "v" in Irish.

Maybe it's an anglicised spelling - like how some people spell Niamh like Neve or Neave?
