This is a typical NTNB, except that the year is now 2112 and the trends are slightly different. Below is an example of 2112 trends in baby names to help out with each family.
In general, parents are finally fed up with the unique-word-name trend. However, there are some word-names that have become so commonplace as to seem usual/typical/normal/okay. Names that were popular in the early 1900s became the standard set for
the parents of this generation. The most popular names (the ones that came back early and strong) from the 1900's are currently the
least trendy. However, the names that had a slower buildup or just didn't see as much use are still considered fair game. Names that were popular in the 1940's/1950's/1960's are the current favorites and one of the most popular trends. Other current trends include unique nicknames as first names, unusual occupational names, and a return to names
from or about medieval times. Finally, the most obnoxious trend (to many name-lovers at least) is giving girls names that were popular boys names in the 1940's/1950's/1960's.

The Jones Family
DH: Durward Elden Jones
DW: "Emmy" Emblem Eloise (née Labelle) Jones
DD: "Trixie" Patricia Eleanor Sailor Jones [NurseMom75]
DS: "Archie" Architect Emmanuel Ralph Jones [Ninor]
DD/DS: "Vivi" Sylvia Ever Songlark Jones / "Fort" Forester Eagle Donald Jones [ghost / AnnaMarie]
DD: _____ "E*"____ _____ Jones
Emmy and Durward decided that they were done after the twins were born... but it turned out that they were wrong! They are expecting their final daughter. Once again, they want to find a name that was popular in the 1940's/1950's/1960's, but has seen some occasional use since that time and is a recognizable name. The first MN must start with "E", and this time Durward is picking it out (names that are the standard set for the parents generation). The second MN should fit one of the current popularity trends (but NOT a masculine name).
The Davis Family
DH: "Cord" Corduroy Hoyt Davis
DW: Rosalina Mollie (née O'Reilly) Davis
DS: Abbott Letholdus Davis [Loki]
DD: Kathleen Iseut Davis [AnnaMarie]
DD: Brenda Vidia Davis [miakendall1075]
DS: _____ _____ Davis
Cord and Rosalina are expecting another son. They would like his FN to be a name that was popular-heard in the 1940's/1950's/1960's, but declined in use since then. His FN should
NOT be an occupational name! His MN should should be related to medieval times OR be something related to elves/sprites/magic/etc.
OR you can switch the FN and MN if you prefer, so long as the FN is NOT an occupational name.
The Lobo Family
DH: Otis Steven Lobo
DW: _____ _____ (née Noel) Lobo
DS/DD: Dick Alexander Maradona Lobo / Troy Angela Maradona Lobo [Aderyn Azula / JN316]
DS: Buzz Christopher Maradona Lobo [Aderyn Azula]
DD: Dale Audrey Maradona Lobo [NurseMom75]
DD: _____ _____ Noel Lobo
ExW: Heather-Hadley Merche (née Maradona) Crocetti
DH: Giovanni Duke Crocetti [Aderyn Azula]
DS: _____ _____ Crocetti
A lot has happened in the Lobo/Maradona family in the last few years. Let's start with Otis. He met a nice girl, and they ended up getting married and are now expecting their first daughter together. The whole family is getting along smoothly, and Dick, Troy, Buzz and Dale look upon their step-mother as a true mother. Heather-Hadley has hardly been seen or heard from in the Lobo household.
Otis' new DW's FN is a "good-girls" name that has a slightly "nerdy" feel. Her MN is filler (remember, there are a whole new generation of "filler" MNs, so it's okay to think outside of the box a little here!). The DW wants their DD to feel a part of the family, but (quite honestly), she HATES the thought of using masculine names on a girl. She's going to compromise and chose a 1-syllable FN, and Otis is once again choosing the MN (popular in the 1930's/1940's/1950's - still pretty, timeless and classic and feminine). Finally, Otis decided that he would love for any new children they have to have to have his DW's maiden name as a second MN (like he ended up doing for his eldest children). The DW agreed that this was a wonderful idea, and their DD's second MN should be Noel.
A lot has changed for Heather-Hadley. Giovanni has turned out to be a very controlling husband. They ended up getting married just 6 months after they first ran off together. Giovanni insisted that Heather-Hadley take his name, and even picked out what her wedding dress would be. For her part, Heather-Hadley actually doesn't seem to mind his overwhelming attention to every detail of her life... in fact, it makes her feel like he loves her deeply (which I guess he kinda does). Anyway, the relationship works even if it's not perfect. They've recently had a son (natural birth, Giovanni insisted). Heather-Hadley is a very hands-on mom this time around (again, Giovanni has insisted), but she wasn't allowed to pick out either name.
The DS's FN should be a nickname... maybe of Italian origin. His MN should be a tough/fierce name that dad thinks will bestow a "manly" feel.
